Community Market Rules

Last updated: 2026-09-18

In short: the Community Market is a notice board where skating parents resell competition dresses to each other. Axelis only hosts the ads. You meet the other party in person, at the rink, and settle between yourselves.

1. What the Community Market is (and is not)

The Community Market is a free classifieds section of the Axelis website, operated by Axelis Co., Ltd. (see our Legal Notice). Axelis is not a party to any sale between users, does not act as agent for either side, does not take payment, does not hold items, does not ship them and does not inspect or authenticate them. Any sale is a private agreement between the seller and the buyer.

2. Who can use it

You need an Axelis account with a verified e-mail address and a completed profile (we use your country to show your ad to local buyers only). You must be at least 18. Accounts used for spam, scams or repeated rule breaches are suspended.

3. What may be listed

Only figure-skating competition dresses (and directly matching items sold with them). Nothing else — no skates, no training wear, no unrelated goods. Counterfeit or stolen items are prohibited. One ad per dress; duplicates are removed.

4. Your responsibilities as a seller

  • You own the dress and have the right to sell it.
  • Your description is honest: size, age, condition and any repair needed.
  • Photos are yours and show the dress itself — never a child's face or anything that identifies a child, your home, or a school. Photograph the dress on a hanger or mannequin. We remove hidden location data from photos, but you should still avoid recognisable backgrounds.
  • Do not put phone numbers, e-mail addresses, social handles or home addresses in the ad text; buyers contact you through the site.
  • Mark the ad as sold, or delete it, once the dress is gone. Ads expire automatically after 30 days.

5. Your responsibilities as a buyer

  • Meet in a public place — ideally the rink you both use — and inspect the dress before paying.
  • Never pay a deposit or transfer money before you have seen the item. Axelis will never ask you to pay through the site for a Community Market dress.
  • Be courteous: sellers are fellow parents, not shops.

6. How contact works

The “Contact seller” form sends your message to the seller by e-mail together with your e-mail address, so they can reply to you directly. When the seller replies, you see their address. Sellers' addresses are never shown on the site. Messages are limited to a few per hour to prevent spam.

7. Moderation

Any user can report an ad. Reports are reviewed by a person; we never remove ads automatically based on the number of reports. We may remove an ad or suspend an account, without notice, when these rules or the law are breached, or when we receive a credible complaint. A removed ad cannot be re-published by its owner.

8. Your content

You keep the rights to your photos and text. By posting you give Axelis a free, worldwide licence to display them on the site and in alert e-mails for as long as the ad is live, and to keep a copy for moderation purposes for 90 days after removal.

9. Alerts

You can save a search to be e-mailed when matching dresses are posted. Every alert e-mail has a “stop these alerts” link, and you can manage alerts from My Classifieds.

10. Liability

Because Axelis is only the host of the ads, we are not liable for the condition, authenticity or delivery of items, for the conduct of users, or for any loss arising from a transaction between users. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law. You agree to compensate Axelis for claims arising from your breach of these rules.

11. Refurbishment service

If a dress needs repair (missing stones, loose stitching), Axelis offers a paid refurbishment service. That is a separate service governed by our Terms of Service, not part of the Community Market.

12. Questions and complaints

[email protected]. These rules complement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
